Botting Ya Or Na?

Hey I Looked on powerbot.org (Don't Worry I Haven't Botted In Years) I Looked On Their Official Post and It Said January 16 Is When It Should Be Back Out. What Do You Think Of This? I Used To Like Bots But I Realized I Would Eventually Be Screwed If I Kept Using Them.

bots are already coming back at a alarming rate, "robots in disguiz is the main client at the mo, and jagex have gone silent

Haha, about Powerbot, they have postponed that date MANY times, and I haven't been up to date with "Robotz in Disguize" they may or may not already have bots back up. But I believe there should be some form of botting. Not to the extent of people just abusing bots to make money, but more to just train if you go out from time to time.

I think bots should be usable if one needs to train a tedious skill/do a tedious task, but babysitting should be required so that abuse is minimal.

Essentially in-game macros that don't really affect the value of peoples skill levels or the economy.

Saying that, bots do make stuff cheap, generally .

Jagex could use in-game 'macros' as a membership feature which is bound to arouse more membership customers instead of that money being spent on other companies.

Seriously? In-game macros from Jagex? That's like saying that they should have a level editor for people that buy membership.

looking at the rate they're coming back i'd say no, i don't like the effect they have on the playing experience.

Yeah I agree with chong, you can't do anything when they're around, still up for those macros tho

ocrourse its no...why domu even play if u bot? i dont see the point of playing if i let some program do all the playing for me.

i am 100% with botting as i was a botter and made my stats very high, but also my friends for free.

Well i was a botter, but it is fun.
I am not proud of my 99 skills, they arent even trained by me....
so i say no ;P

They do indeed have bots back up. also another big bot atm is Simba, but not many people use it because it takes more than 5 minutes to download it and set it to the right place lol.

I heard the scripts in Simba don't run correctly. idk, but I do know there will always be bots in rs, and Jagex will probably continue nuking them. I hate grinding so i'm somewhat for bots that level some of the more boring skills. Bots for quests and money making ruin the game.

I botted but only because everyone else botted and i had to keep up with them. I think that this was the mentality of around 80% of botters before the nuke.

The purpose of a game is playing it and have fun. With bots you're not playing it and you take the fun out of the game for legit players so I'm against bots.

one of the main reasons i dont play any more is because of how big botting was. I feel like im wasting my time trying to get good stats when there are thousands of players with maxxed accounts and several 99's all from botting. I just don't see the enjoyment in it anymore.

well there are pros and cons. if botting hadn't been that big, probably the problems of price rises wouldn't have happened. however because of nuke stuff like chins rose like crap

Wouldn't it be great though if bots did come back, then jagex had another nuke day? We could probably make some serious investments.

I believe, as posted before, only some forms of botting should be brought back, not like they were before. I would use bots more as a help while doing something (IE: right clicking, and burning all logs in your inventory).
